Strength and intelligence

All our garage door operators are equipped with a co-motor drive system that we have developed. As a result, they are characterised by quiet operation and durability. The motor bogie runs on a taut chain, resulting in no power loss due to friction.

Our drives owe their strength to intelligent technology. Because the motors are not fixed statically at a single point but work in concert, they are always exactly where their force is needed. This ensures optimum use of force at all times and, at the same time, maximum safety.

This gearbox-protecting technology ensures a longer service life and significantly less wear and tear on the garage door operator. In addition, this operator does not require any maintenance. The chain does not need to be oiled, thus avoiding unsightly oil stains on the vehicle and on the garage door.

Automatic obstacle recognition

The automatic obstacle recognition system provides optimum protection, e.g. for families with children. If an obstacle is detected, the operator reverses the door (reverse movement), thus preventing people or vehicles from getting stuck.

SVS - secure operator locking system

Thanks to the unique emergency release system, the door can be released and coupled in any position. This allows it to be easily opened and locked by hand. In addition, only with SOMMER solutions is it possible to lock the garage door in any position in the event of a power failure.

DPS - automatic programming of opening and closing force

The DPS system automatically reads the value of the force required and adapts it in real time to the external conditions, thus guaranteeing maximum protection against crushing.
