The up-and-over door is a solution particularly recommended for detached garages. It can be operated manually, but for greater comfort of use it is worth considering the installation of an automatic. Its advantages are:

However, it is important to note that this type of door requires a little more space in front of the garage and, if installed in an opening, reduces the entry light.

Opening methods and locking system

The gate is available in a manual version. The handle made of black plastic is mounted on both sides of the leaf. The locking system comprises a single-sided patent cylinder with three keys and an espagnolette for operation from the inside. The double-sided locking is based on snap bolts. For even greater security, a three-point locking system can be used (including an additional bolt for the threshold).

Installation - in the hole or behind the hole?

The NOVUM door can be installed in two ways:

• In the hole - reduces the passage light, but does not require a lintel (for the manual version) or requires a minimum of 6 cm (for the automatic version).
• Behind the opening - requires lateral space (min. 10 cm) and lintel (6 cm for the manual version, 12 cm for the automatic version).

As a result, the door can even be adapted to garages with unusual designs.

Durability and safety

The NOVUM gate has been designed with long-term use in mind. Galvanised steel covered with a polyester layer ensures resistance to corrosion and damage. In turn, the tension spring system and robust locking guarantee safety and comfort of use.
