Features and functionalities

The SELECT up-and-over door - a multitude of options, fully customisable

The name SELECT door refers to the wide range of options that allow the door to be customised. As many as 11 available infill layouts (horizontal, vertical and sloping) enable the design to be matched to the architecture of the building. In addition, the standard palette includes 6 RAL colours and 2 woodgrain shades, and painting in almost 200 RAL colours can be ordered as an option (individual pricing).

Design and materials

The leaf sheathing is made of galvanised steel sheet (trapezoid T-10) with a vertical, horizontal or slanting arrangement and polyester coating. The gate is equipped with side sliders, which stabilise its operation and increase the comfort of use. It is possible to manufacture an insulated door, with a pass door, glazing (windows) or a ventilation grille.

When is it worth choosing an up-and-over door?

Overhead doors are an economical and durable solution, particularly recommended for detached garages. They can be opened manually, but for greater convenience it is worth equipping them with automation. Advantages of the overhead door:
  • easy to install and operate,
  • no need for a high lintel,
  • stable and durable construction.
It is important to remember that an up-and-over door requires more space in front of the garage and, when installed in an opening, reduces the entry light.

Opening and security system

The SELECT door is available as a manual version. The black plastic handle is fitted on both sides of the leaf. The lock is fitted with a single-sided patent cylinder (three keys) and a bolt for operating from the inside. Double-sided locking is carried out with snap bolts.

Assembly methods

The SELECT door can be installed in two ways:
  • In the hole - reduces the passage light. It requires no lintel (for the manual version) or 6 cm (for the automatic version).
  • Behind the opening - Mounted to the inside walls of the garage. Requires 10 cm of side space and a lintel of 6 cm (for manual version) or 12 cm (for automatic).
As a result, the door can be adapted to different garage constructions, including renovated buildings.

Additional options

  • Pass doors - a convenient solution when the garage has no other entrance.
  • Windows - provide an inflow of natural light.
  • Ventilation grille - improves air circulation.
  • Insulation - for better thermal insulation.
If you opt for insulation, your door will be finished on the inside with a PVC panel.

Safety and comfort

The SELECT door is equipped with side sliders to stabilise the leaf and a two-point locking system. It is possible to use an additional three-point locking system, including:
  • plastic or steel transoms,
  • a manual slider to close from the inside,
  • Gerda lock, which allows locking from the outside and inside.

Universal dimensions

If your garage requires a non-standard door, the SELECT model will be an excellent choice. The ability to order special dimensions allows you to tailor the door to your individual needs.

Summary

The SELECT up-and-over door is an economical and functional solution that combines durability, security and aesthetics. With a wide range of personalisation options and high quality workmanship, SELECT is the ideal option for both new and modernised garages.
